Since I have joining open, we're getting many new members. A few new members are not following the rules of the group, and that's my fault for not posting them. So here we go (if you've been a member and know the rules, please read below because the rules have been edited and there is somethings that are new).
How It Works
We are not a regular group where you submit any deviation from your gallery to the group.
This is how the group works:
1. There's a challenge every two weeks, or maybe longer according to the theme, and a contest at least four times a year.
2. If you like the theme of the challenge, you may enter by creating a deviation which follows the basic challenge requirements.
3. You'll enter by uploading your deviation that MUST be approved before it's added to the gallery. If it is not approved you will receive a note explaining why.
4. After the challenge is over, invited judges and myself will pick our favorites for the challenge "Picks Of The Week". The judges will always write a small statement explaining why they chose the deviation. The winners are invited to submit any deviation from their gallery to be submitted to the gallery. ONLY WINNERS will be allowed to submit directly to the gallery.
Club Rules
1. Only members can participate in challenges and/or contests.
2. Only the feature moderators can suggest Favorites. This is very important. If I see the wrong deviation in the favorites gallery, it will be removed.
3. All challenge entries are subject to viewing before accepted. Any entry not following the rules of the group or requirements for the challenge/contest will be decline.
4. When choosing required stock for the challenge/contest, you can edit it but it must be clearly seen in the deviation. I should not have to squint to see the stock.
Tiny pieces of the required stock is no longer exceptable.
5. When selecting the level you want to participate under (1=Novice; 2=Beginner; 3=Intermediate; 4=Advance) make sure that it is the right level for your ability as a photomanipultor.
Read below for my definition for e
Level 1. Novice: You're new to photomaipulation, but feel comfortable enought to participate in a challenge/contest.
Level 2. Beginner: You're no longer Novice, but you still have a lot to learn. Your concepts and execution need some improvement, but you're getting a handle on how to use your paint program and you've improved from your earlier deviations.
Level 3. Intermediate: Your concepts and execution has improved tremendously. It no longer takes hours to create a deviation because you now understand how to use your paint program to do what you want it to do. Your deviations have improved from the onese you were creating at Level 2.
Level 4. Advance: You may not feel like you're Advance, but for our group, if you've gone beyond the Intermediate level, you're ready for Advance.
6. If I feel that you're obviously participating under the wrong level (a deviation under Level 2 when it's clearly an Intermediate or Advance deviation), I will move it to an other level. If I change your level, you'll be contacted.
I can't think of any other rules I need to have for the group, but keep in mind that they can be edited at any time. Okay? But most of you have been participating on a regular basis and you know the rules so I don't think this will be a big problem.
